The Biggest Reward You Can Get Is To Be You

If you woke up looking bad and wondering if a person you were nice to really deserved it, you know you’re not alone. In a world where we only exchange, we look for joy in what we receive from others instead of looking inside us.

If you woke up looking bad and wondering if a person you were nice to really deserved it, you know you’re not alone. In a world where we only exchange, we look for joy in what we receive from others instead of looking inside us.

Last day a friend shared a dilemma with me. A neighbor, with whom she always behaved nicely, suddenly had a horrible behavior towards him because she parked her car in the middle of the driveway. His frustration was all the more because, he says, the neighbor did countless times the same thing he accused, and he didn’t get upset.

People have every right to react or act differently from us. Also, they have the right to change their opinion and attitude. Moreover, people cannot read our thoughts. They cannot know what goes through our heads or what displeases us if we do not express ourselves in this regard.

As long as our actions and our state of mind are dictated by others, we remain at the stage of victim or puppet. Because someone who is a fine psychologist will see the buttons you have to press to generate certain reactions and get what he wants. The path to freedom and inner peace does not mean posing in a gentle person and thanking everyone. But to be in harmony with yourself, to act according to your values and principles no matter what others say or do.

Do you like helping people? Then help them, whether they will thank you or not. Want to give someone a gift? Then do it, whether you will receive one in return or from that person. Does your heart love unconditionally? Don’t shut it up just because some say it’s silly.

Leave the state of being yourself to enjoy your soul as only it can. And things will work out for themselves. People in disharmony with you will disappear or revise their attitude.

This is what happened to my friend. The angry neighbor sent her a message the next morning apologizing.
